I've been lent her book 'World Vegetarian' I've just been leafing through it and I can't wait to start cooking. I wouldn't normally buy a vegetarian book but this one is definately on my list (when I eventually have to give it back!)There is a dairy section but this is easy to forget about with so many other impressive recipes to choose from. If anyone dares suggest vegan food is boring I'll just let them flick through this book. Yummm

I have bought loads of veggie cookbooks and a few vegan ones.
Most veggie cookbooks are fantastic all you do is convert if needed. But TBH 70% of the meals in most veggie cookbooks are vegan.

Thanks, I have a contact in the Ottakers book shop and she can get discounts. So I will ask her to get it for me.

I managed to find the old edition of her "Eastern Vegetarian Cooking" in an Oxfam bookshop a while back - fantastic (if often fiddly) recipes for authentic stuff - and if you ignore the egg and dairy section, almost all either vegan or convertable!

She's also a good actress. We saw her a few months ago in a movie called, ABCD (American Born Confused Desi). Decent movie and her acting was the only really solid performance.
