so this might make me sound kind of retarded in terms of being a vegan (newly vegan :P) but i was curious if you guys knew if yeast was not vegan... i did a bit of research and it doesnt really seem very safe to eat... if you could let me know thatd be really great. thanks a lot :]

Can you be a bit more specific? Yeast extract (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeast_extract)(as in Marmite/Vegemite) is safe to eat, as is nutritional yeast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutritional_yeast). You may also want to check out the entry on brewer's yeast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brewer%27s_yeast).
