We made them in cooking class when I was 13.... I don't remember the recipe. :(

Yah, that's where I made them too, in class when I was 16. We made them in my German class before we traveled to Germany for our German class trip. I can't remember how we made them, but it was easy, I remember that. :p

LOL, I made them for german class when I was 13! (queue twilight zone music...) I think the recipe may have been from a German cookbook I used a lot growing up. I'm about to talk to my mom, so I'll ask her about it. Those were some darned good pretzels.

There's a recipe here (http://www.catteacorner.com/vegan-d4.htm). I haven't tried it but their recipes seem pretty good. Scroll down to find it.

Edit: and here (http://thebakehouse.blogspot.com/) too, scroll down to find them.

The first recipe is similar to mine (which I can't post as it's in German, but I can translate it if you want).
Pretzels are the only thing I really miss about Germany!

Thanks Absentmindedfan. :) I haven't been able to get those Hofbrau House pretzels out of my mind in 19 years! Vegan Barbie lived in Germany, I wonder if she knows...Barbie?? Ya here, sweetie??
