Hello everybody,
I'm a new member and from Germany.
I'm travel agent and will be at the end of March till beginning of April in the San Francisco area.
Is there a chance to go to a vegetarian or vegan fair in this area at the time I'm there? Or do you have any other veggie places to visit for me?

Would be great if you could let me know asap so I can make my schedule for the travel.

I would appreciate any answer.

Thanks in advance.
Best wishes

I'm not aware of any veggie fairs, but there are some restaurants for you to check out:

In San Francisco:
Millenium (vegetarian)
Herbivore (vegan, i believe) in the Mission district, but has one or two other locations in the bay area
Medicine (vegan Japanese) also in the Mission - I've heard really good things about this place; haven't gotten to go yet though

In Berkeley (East Bay):
Cha Ya (vegan Japanese)
Cafe Gratitude (raw? vegan cafe)
Fellini's - serves vegan traditional brunch (omelets, french toast, etc...) that's supposed to be very good
and a new Herbivore should be open in Berkeley by March

Those are just off the top of my head - I will look around for fairs/fesivals for you (and me!)

Enjoy your trip! You will love the San Francisco Bay area. It's a wonderful place.

I found this site, and got a little overwhelmed by the amount of info:

good luck!
