this thread is devoted for the genious things we create at home, and wanna share with the world.

this is my fav:

Garlic and Chili infused olive oil: i chop some garlic, and put them into a the small glass jars sojasun yoghurt come in. put two or three dried chilis into it, and pour over some really nice extra virgin olive oil. shake it a bit, and store it in the fridge. when the oil is used, i pour over some more. it's wonderful for pizza!

anyone else has some?

I want to try that on my pizza next time.

I soak giant white beans overnigth than boil them for an hour. After that I put them in a mixture consisting of stuff like:

chili
onion
garlic
lemon
fresh parsley
balsamico vinegar
olive oil
peanut oil

After a couple of hours I use them in my salads, with potato mash, rice ect :D

homemade nut butters. my favourite one is peanut-cashew butter. i put in a blender half toasted unsalted peanuts and half raw cahew nuts. blend until creamy (it takes a long time, i stop and let until cool, then beat again, this repeated several times). enjoy....
not sugar, nor salt needed. the flavour is amazing.

wauw. i actually thought you'd need a special equipment for making nut butters? i'll defo try that very soon. i make some spread from almonds too, and sun flower seeds. very good indeed. i mix the seeds with boiled water, then purée it, then add whatever i like it to taste of. same method with the almonds. and it's GOOD. and really healthy too.
