Why Honey is Not Vegan. This is an excellant essay on the issue that also explores basics and common iffy areas of veganism.

Hi, i am new to being a Vegan, i became vegetarian about 6 months ago and so did my children, i am finding the change to vegan a little tough as one of my fave foods is cheese! thanks for the links, found some of the sites very useful, i have been looking on VIVA for a while now and i think they have some awesome info for newbies.

Hi Leo, you can do it! I know what helped me get past eating cheese was thinking about the torture and pain animals go through in dairy farms. I used to LOVE cheese. But now I'm pretty much repulsed by it - when I think about where it comes from. I wish I had a great link for you right now to show you how horrible the industry is....all I could find right now was this:

http://sugarrocket.com/vegan/vegan-tips.php

Maybe I'll be back with more later.

ha ha, well great! Actually, I wouldn't recommend the claw covers. my sister's cat had an issue with them and her cat's paws got infected!!

Oh no! I hope the kitty cat recovered ok.

My cat would rip my arms apart if I tried putting them on lol. I have to take her to the vet to get her claws trimmed. I'm not doing it!
