Does anyone know anyone who makes vegan wedding cakes? I have failed miserably so far in my search and my local bakery can only offer a very dull sponge as a vegan alternative. I live in Manchester but will travel! I've found a bakery in North Wales but its a bit wholesome for what I'm looking for - I definitely don't want a sugar free cake for this one. Any suggestions gratefully received:)

Thanks Akita - unfortunately they are the no sugar ones I found too - shame though 'cos they look great otherwise.

Have you tried Blue Lotus? They're based in Leicester but they'll post cakes out - this (http://www.bluelotusproducts.com/bluelotus/product_info.php/cPath/39/products_id/213) looks like it might be suitable, as 2 of the flavours are rich fruit cake and sugar free fruit cake (suggesting the rich one does have sugar in) :)

Thanks Twinkle - these are my back up plan if I can't find anyone to do a "proper" wedding cake - they do look yummy :)

Here's another vegan cake company baby cakes (http://www.babycakesdirect.co.uk)
Can't an ordinary bakery come up with a vegan fruitcake with vegan icing if you provide them with a recipe?

Or, I expect Blue Lotus would be open to special requests, either to do a plain fruit cake that you could have iced in a wedding stylee by a cake decorator, or they may be able to do it themselves.

Thanks for everyone's replies. A very kind person from the forum has offered to make me one. Hurrah! :D
