Hello.
I'm new to this forum and i've just turned Vegan too.
I was just wondering what Vegan food i can eat that will prevent me from becoming Anemic, as i was once borderline Anemic before, (when i was a Vegetarian). I've asked my doctor about this, but the information sheets where all for vegetarian diets.
So i would appreciate your help,
Thanks.

Vooodoochild, are you female, if so please note the following sentence in the previous weblink from the Vegan Society.
"The Dietary and Nutritional Survey of British Adults revealed that one third of all women had low iron stores"
Woman are prone to anaemia due to menstruation, pregnancy and childbirth. Women of childbearing age (from puberty to menopause) need higher intakes of iron than men. This is a fact.
2 words sum up vegan iron...beans and greens! Although there are other sources, beans and greens are 2 of the best and most easily incorporated into a balanced vegan diet.
