Me and Corum won free tickets to one of the biggest biker festivals in the UK run by the Outlaws backpatch bike club. We just got back from the most fantastic weekend there.
Now the biker community is notoriously narrow minded when it comes to health and green issues but I'm pleased to say things are a changing! Having resigned ourselves to having to eat chips and baked beans all weekend we got there to discover TWO vegan food stalls, we went over in the evening to order some food and were told the two stalls were so popular that all the vegan food was sold out by 10.00 a.m:eek:
The people buying the stuff were big hairy bikers!
The guys in the tent next to us - ZZ top lookalikes and not to be messed with by the looks of them muscles, big beards, righteous dudes etc, were getting ready to go out on their bikes, we asked them if they were off for a rideout and they said no mate, we're off to Sainsburys to buy some fruit - we can't cope with all this junk food:eek:
