My wife and I go to the Olive Garden about one a month. I love their salad and can make a meal out of it. Lately I have been finding animal products in many foods I would never have suspected. SO, how about the Olive Garden? DOes any one know if the Italian Salad Dressing is safe?

Thanks
Monty

Hello - there is some information here but it doesn't look terribly encouraging I'm afraid:

Most places will leave off the salad dressing though, or just give you oil and vinegar to dress it yourself.

the cholesterol shows that there is an animal products in there somewhere as plant-based foods do not contain cholesterol.

Another link for Olive Garden:

I would ask the waiter/waitress about the contents of the breadsticks though.

If I were you Monty, I would order a cheese-less saiad and bring my own dressing! it's a terrible world isn't it?

My husband used to work at the olive garden and the dressing has cheese and egg whites in it so it's not vegan. The breadsticks are if you have them leave the butter off.
