I love Grannysmith apples - they are nice and crunchy, tart and acidic.

I love Bramleys for a similar reason, but haven't been able to find them here in Australia. :(

I used to love Granny Smiths but now I prefer Royal Gala, much sweeter and softer. :)

Wild tart (!) apples...Oh my mouth is watering at the thought...(I mean apples that can be found growing wild...which happen to be tart...)

Do you eat them raw?

Any as long as they haven't got a maggot in them :(. Yeah, that happened to me recently.

Oh, that's just made me think of baked apples which I haven't had for years. Might have to pick some cooking apples and suitable filling up when I get motivated enough to go to the shop.

Yes, Cox's or anything crisp and sharp-tasting. If I get any soft and sweet ones I'll know to pass them on to Spud Addict :)

I eat a Granny Smith apple nearly every day - I love them.
Occasionally I'll have a Red or Golden Delicious apple instead. I used to swear by golden delicious.

I tried a Discovery Apple for the first time recently and I really enjoyed it! At the moment though I'm enjoying some Clapping Chimp gala apples from a new locally grown, organic crop :)
