Someone was telling me how to make cupcakes with jam inside - apparently you put a bit of sponge mix in, then a blob of jam, then more sponge mix on top. I would assume the marzipan is put in using the same method?

Haha, those kitties seem very interested in vegan cooking.:)

They love food, they are vegan (apart from anything my bf gives them on the odd occasion) and they like sharing what I eat :)

Kitteh........are the cupcakes homemade?

If so how did you get the marzipan inside them?

Am I being stupid do you just put it in and then bake them like normal or is there some other method?

Yup, I baked 'em on Sunday. The blog I got them off is here (http://receptenmonique.blogspot.com/2008/11/gingerbread-cupcakes-with-marzipan.html). Like Marrers said you put some cupcake mixture in, then put a ball of marzipan in and then more mixture then bake. I was worried that like jam donut cupakes, the marzipan would sink, some of them did:

But they were still delish!

Yellow Curry by a company called Darikay, so so delicious!

Haha, I am a bit! But it was way too big for me and I think it was too much soy ice cream as well, I felt a bit crappy the next day! But it was so good!

All this talk of banana splits.. makes me want one BAD.

Anyone have a "recipe" for a banana split involving relatively "whole" foods? [I don't have access to fake whip cream or stuff like that]..

There is a good recipe for cream on cherry's website.

http://www.parsleysoup.co.uk/getrecipe.php?section=desserts&recipe=vegan_cream

I used rice milk to make it a while back and it ended up quite thick.

Else you could just put melted chocolate over ice cream and add a banana (don't mean to state the obvious). :o

I used nothing, they're from the canteen at uni. They tasted like they'd been made fresh though.
