The rice rolls look awesome. I love japanese/ asian fusion food! I once had to make raw rice rolls for an entomology fair, yummm!!
And all your desserts look amazing!! Are they gluten-free, too? For some reason, I remember you saying you're gluten-free.
Also, how do you ppl say Plamil? PLAY-MILL or PLAH-MEL?
I think it depends on your accent! i've never seen it in stores here, but I did see it in Germany; I said "PLAH-MILL". Of course, we have very UNinteresting accents over here...

oh Kitteh! those rice rolls look kinda like little alien pupas!:D:o
I know, they look funny! I think it's the orange of the carrot

Yup, they're all gluten free! And thanks for your pronunciation. I say PLAY-MILL and a vegan friend was like "what?...oh PLAHMELL!" haha

It's onion mushroom cravy thickened w/ corn flour. I don't know how ppl get it dark brown w/out adding colouring.
Hello kitteh

When you fry your onions and mushrooms - fry them slowly and for quite a long time. You want the edges to be almost burnt because it's these burnt bits (and the caramelised bits) that makes gravy dark brown
:D

Mmmm that sounds good! I've never tried making my own mushroom gravy. Your cravy sounds lovely :)

First of all, I would just like to say that this is the best thread EVER. Looking at delicious pictures of food is way too entertaining.
Well, I made my first attempt at vegan baking last night and it was a success!

Thank you Roxy! I've always loved to bake, and just recently went vegan. Making these recipes is a whole new learning process, I love it! The ingredients are wholesome, healthy and (if this makes sense) adorable. For instance, I find applesauce inside cupcake batter to be just precious, haha. I'll post future pictures, if they turn out aesthetically pleasing!
Happy eating.

thanks guys. :D
You stuffed a chickpea cutlet??!? Tell me how!
umm, well i'm not sure. just kind of flattened cutlet, blobbed on some mashed potatoes and broccoli and closed it up. It wouldn't close completely so left opening on top. can't remember what temp was cuz I don't have recipe on me now, but a little lower than cutlets. it took forever!

Hi Hedge! Thanks for the tip, I will be sure to try that next time :)

Nope I just did them as rice paper rolls. You soak the rice paper wrap in hot water and then place your fillings and wrap. You can turn them into spring rolls by frying or baking them, but this way mine were raw apart from the rice paper & sauce.

Omigod, they are amazing! It's Soy Boy brand. They have red roasted pepper (seen above), green ones- herb something, and original. I should try one of the other too but when you find something you like... :p
