I anyone wants the recipe for the spring rolls, you can find it on my blog , the address is in my profile. I'm not putting a link here to abide by the rule that you can advertise your site only once. There are more easy to do recipes on my blog. Most of my recipes do not use manufactured products. For example cheese, I dont buy vegan cheese. I invent something to simulate the taste of cheese.

Actually, I'll greatly appreciate it if someone tries the recipe and give me some feedback. I'm planning on publishing a vegan cookbook with emphasis on Asian recipes.I'm looking for a publisher and most likely I wont find anyone interested because I'm not a chef, although I've been in the vegetarian/vegan scene for more than 20 years. I actually have someone interested to serve as an editor, a friend, a college professor in english in the U.S. My problem is a publisher who can see some merit in my project.

I think I'm becoming predictable. More cakes, this time the Your Basic Chocolate Cupcake with Fluffy Buttercream Frosting from VCTOTW. They are for my singing pupils tomorrow (end of term treat). OH has already approved them! Will get back onto the savoury goodies soon.

Is it really weird that some of us have a camera permanently in the kitchen, and take pictures of our food before we eat it? Do normal people do this?
Anyway, promised savoury goodies, and made Cachapas from Viva Vegan tonight. Very tasty.

Also, by pupils enjoyed the choc cakes. They made many happy eating noises (luckily we had stopped singing by then, but we did leave crumbs all over the floor of the music room!).

I take my food outside to photograph, if I kept my camera in the kitchen it would end up in whatever I was cooking, for sure! And we are normal people :p And now I need to make cachapas, looks good!

Heehee, I've recently started doing this as well. :) Sometimes it's hard to find the patience to take those photos when you're excited to dig in!

OMG, that looks awesome... I had some strawberry soy cheesecake over the weekend, made with soy cream cheese and topped with fresh, organic strawberries. Sadly, I have no pictures to share of it. :( But it was awesome!!! Made it for my parents, and they were quite impressed. Dad makes awesome (non-vegan :() cheesecakes, so I was looking forward to getting him to try mine. I asked him what he thought and he said he was thinking. I said, "Uh-oh... don't like it?" I was surprised, I was sure he would. Then he said, "I'm trying to see if I can tell a difference." Isn't that awesome? :D

Would you like to share with us the recipe for the cheesecake?

@ Kimberlily Yeah that's so cool! My mum and my boyfriend both prefer the tofu cheesecake. I don't think it's as heavy as the dairy version.

@ Jivattatva Unfortunately I have tried over the years to persuade the restaurant to give me a peek at the recipe, although one of my friends has recently got a job in one of the Glasgow vegan restaurants so I might get some insider's info!

I made it for a potluck a little while ago and had a few people tell me that as well, that they liked that it was a bit lighter. The recipe for "my" cheesecake can be found at the Vegan Pandamonium site.

http://veganpandamonium.blogspot.com/2010/02/cheesecake.html

I haven't tried making any other kind yet, was so impressed with this one. I've made it several times. :) Next time maybe I'll try experimenting with the recipe, maybe mix in melted dark chocolate or something.

Will add the pictures that can be found on the site here as well, so people who don't check out the link can see what it looks like. I've made it with blueberries as well, very yummy.

Wow, thanks. It's probably a fairly similar recipe they use in the restaurant. I'll be making that for my next potluck I think.

Ok folks! I have been taking photos of my cakes for a few weeks and, inspired by this amazing thread, am going to try taking photos of anything I make that looks good enough to eat! (In the hope that others get pleasure and inspiration from my pictures in the way that I have done from theirs.) This is my first attempt at uploading and sharing pictures, so here's hoping it works. I'll try one first and carry on if that works!

[edit] No, that didn't work. Darn. I created a Flickr account especially! Poo! Oh well, the sole purpose of this account was to show pictures of nice vegan food, so I'll just put the link here and then say every time I've added a new picture of yumminess.

I've only taken photos of cakes so far because they're so pretty (ie I love cake), but I'll try to add some savoury dishes to the mix from now on.

This part of flickr's FAQ should help you.

http://www.flickr.com/help/photos/#68

How do I get the URL of a photo?

To use the URL of a photo (like when you add a photo to your Blogger profile), you must provide the web address (URL) of the image itself, not the address of the web page where the image is displayed.

Here's an example of a correct URL for a photo. Note the .jpg at the end:

Here's an example of an incorrect URL for a photo. It points to the web page where the image is displayed, not the image file itself. Notice there's no .jpg at the end.

(Click both of these links to see the difference.)

To get the URL of the actual image file, find the photo you want to use. Click the "All Sizes" button above it and select the size you want. If the photo is yours, two text fields appear below the photo. The first contains a snippet of HTML that will produce the photo on your web site, with a link back to the photo page on Flickr. The second contains the URL of the image itself. Simply copy and paste the one you want into your web site.

If the photo isn't yours, you may not be able to access the Different Sizes page (if the owner doesn't allow downloads of the photo).

Note: Per our Terms of Use, whenever you place an image you're storing on Flickr on an external web site, you must also include a link back to Flickr.

And this is a chocolate mousse cake that I made for my birthday (decorated with Humdinger white chocolate buttons and Whizzer chocolate beans):

More more more! Nom nom!

My Mum had a cake sale for a charity a couple of weeks ago. So I got to go on a baking spree. Here are a few of the things I made:

Coffee cake!

Strawberry cupcakes with vanilla icing

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4130/4847564014_dafec40046_b.jpg
Strawberry and chocolate muffins, plus cupcakes pre-icing (and some gratuitous mess in my kitchen - I shall get better at the presentation!)

And last but not least, some black forest gateau:
