Cedarblue, that's a great photo of the fruit/nuts from an artistic point of view. You should frame it.

That looks so nice Aradia - so nice in fact that I think you really, REALLY ought to give us all the recipe!!:D

here you go .....

350g self raising flour
2 tsp baking powder
˝ tsp salt
Sieve together.

75g margarine
Mix in with fingertips.

100g brown sugar
˝ tsp grated lemon rind
1 tsp vanilla essence
Stir in well.

4 over ripe bananas, mashed
2 tbsp oil
Add and mix really well. You may need a splashet of milk.

Tip into a lined loaf tin and cook at 200 degrees for about an hour. Cool.

For the icing .... mix instant coffee (don't use the real stuff for this) with a spoon or two of hot water. Mix into icing sugar until it's a nice thick paste and smear filthily all over cake.

Like excess icing off fingers in seductive fashion, a la Nigella. Only do this if someone is watching you - otherwise it's a bit weird like!

Ahh, cheers Sluggie.

That's one of my fave soups ... I'm going to grow so much fennel this year! I'll have a freezer full of that soup.

Pesto without parm? How's that done? It does look yummy, I must say.

yummy yummy. so hungry...

The only pesto I've ever made was just basil, garlic, pine nuts, olive oil, and salt. Then again, I never made pesto before going vegan, so have no idea whats traditionally in it. Theres also vegan parm, though I've never tried it.

best basil pesto is in vegan with a vengeance - it has walnuts and it is really pungent- when you are eating it and it is under your nose it is like inhaling springtime!:D

why not pesto without parmesan?
many traditional Italian recipes don't contain any, either.

I usually mix whatever herb is within reach and puree it with any nut available, sometimes add nooch.

It should work if you wrap image tags at either end of your http address

eg [ IMG ] and [ / IMG ] (but without the spaces obviously!)

at least it did with mine, after I'd selected the 'medium size' option from 'all sizes' and used the code for that size....but I've just tried doing it with one of your pictures and it wouldn't work this time so maybe I just got lucky last time!:o:confused:

You need to lose the ?v=0 off the end of the URL before wrapping it in IMG tags.
