It was a few years back so it may have changed but I thought the savoury stuff was a bit disappointing. Mostly sandwiches and similar. Waste of stomach space with so many other fab places to eat so I just went there for the cake and hot drinks! Perfect after a visit to nearly Moos Shoes (before it moved) and the ahem womens shop . . .)

Shame..I'd sort of heard quite mixed reviews bout it but was intriuged..In the end I was in a rush to get elsewhere so just grabbed the cold drink and ran. Your pix look absolutely scumlicious though, thanks for sharing!!:) I never made it to Candle but had a heavenly time turning chubby at many other vegan eateries.;) Mmmm, cravings!!:D

Dinner tonight, a fajita salad:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/9-12-07fajitasalad.jpg
I was going to make fajita lettuce wraps, but the store didn't have the boston lettuce I wanted, and when about to assemble them I realized exactly how messy it was going to be. So I just threw it all in a bowl and called it a salad!
Oh, and that's spanish rice in the back.

I also had this really nice cake from "Fresh and Wild" and I was going to take a photo of it but my brother said "why are you taking photos of your food?" so I thought I might seem a weirdo, so I didn't.:o

I made pasties tonight! They weren't the best, but they were low-fat (ish), wholewheat and full of peas, carrots, potato, tomato etc.
yum
The three together (after the fourth went mysteriously missing)

The "missing" fourth pasty (no, it isn't about to play monopoly.....or watch a DVD)

There's so many things i meant to take photos of but didnt this week - namely my first attempt at sushi - very good - and cinnamon rolls - yummers.

nothing much - just 1 1/2 cups wholewheat flour, 1/4 cup white fat (I used trex). bung it in a food processor til it's breadcrumbs. then add cold water whilst pulsing the processor until it binds into one big ball. then shove it in cling film or a bag, and chill it for a while.
then use.
oh and don't roll it out too thick.
oh and use flour on your hands, rolling pin and board. plenty of it.
