What are graham crackers? Would digestive biccies do? My mouth's watering already!
Yes, I'm pretty sure digestives are the same thing. They work the same anyway, I use them in cheesecake recipes.
I really want all of this food!
Emzy - that mash looks delicious. What did you use for the cheese?

Man, now I'm hungry just before bedtime! The cupcakes, seitan, Indian food and Emzy's stovetop deliciousness!
Here's some roasted okra from a couple nights ago. Unfortunately the portion bought at the farmers' market only stretched to two meals.

it's called Donauwelle. It's a classic cake from Vienna. There doesn't seem to be a translation (literally, it means "wave of the Danube").

Pavotrouge, that Donauwelle looks gorgeous! Used to be my favourite cake when I was a child. What's the cream based on? In the original recipe it's butter cream, isn't it?

Poison Ivy, that curry looks sooooo good.
Pavotrouge, I think I did the okra at 400F for 20 minutes, tossing them around every 5 minutes. Sprayed the lined pan and the okra with olive oil. If you search fatfreevegan.com, that's where I got the inspiration.

Is it the one on page 126, basic broiled tofu? It says you schould preheat the oven to broil, what is that?

Yes it is. Broil is a setting on the oven, on the dial with the temperatures. It's a high heat that only comes from the top of the oven, and you put the top rack pretty high so that the food is close to the heat. I'm pretty sure all ovens have this?

I think this is another one of the US/European disparities....in the US you broil, in Europe we grill (of course I may be wrong but this is what I've always taken it as and from checking on the web it seems to be the case):)

I love how that broccoli polenta looks!
@applepie: I used ready-made Alpro Soy Dessert, but apart from that, the recipe can be found here (http://www.attilahildmann.com/donauwelle_rezept/donauwelle_rezept.htm), also with a suggestion for vegan "buttercream".

I can confirm that the US version of broiling is the same as the European and Australian version of grilling.
I believe in North America, grilling is something you do on a hotplate.
