can you get creamed corn in the uk?
I've asked that question myself - peaople say you can but I've never found it!

This the chicken patty, curlykale, steamed brocolli and mixed wholegrain rice and red lentils, served with soy sauce - I had last night for dinner!

This my loaded veggie burger with avocado, red onion and tomato on a wholegrain bun. Large potato salad and lots of alfala sprouts

Thanks Ivy and Ruby :)

Cup o Tea - yes that's the one! I love their whole range of faux meats :) They're quite expensive though, so I only buy them when they're on sale.

can you get creamed corn in the uk?

Just blitz a can of corn with a hand blender.

That would not work, but you could get a recipe and make your own.

Looking at a few recipes for it, it seems that creamed corn is basically a bechamel sauce (but made with cream) with corn added to it....that sounds easy enough to veganise:)

Hmm not really. Canned creamed corn is just corn, sugar, and maybe water.

My can of creamed corn says, Whole kernal Corn , Water, sugar, corn starch and salt. (A little white pepper might be nice too.) A recipe would give you the correct amounts, which would be nice.

i've noticed a lot of people make quite thick gravy - i like mine more runny and liquid. :)

This may not look "good" but trust me. It is. It's a pasty pie. (lazy man's version of a pasty) It's made with gimme lean fake ground beef, onions, potatoes, seasonings and some vegan brown gravy all cooked in a pie crust. I eat it smothered in brown gravy. The next day, when it's cold, I eat it smothered in ketchup.

mmmh peppers... why must the organic ones cost a fortune?

the sausage recipe is from http://www.everydaydish.tv/ the second last one on the list, though all recipes from that site are awesome (just making the mocha cake!).

Maybe I'll make a cake instead.

Although I've been super-healthy all week.
