LOL okay in exchange for one of your roast dinners :D
It is really scrummy. I usually make double quantities and have half one evening with garlic bread and then the other half heated up the next evening in taco shells.

Well Jo promised lots of pictures of yummy foods from NYC. Well...I didn't take many...:o Here are the (very) few I did take.

the first day's good from babycakes (massive disappointment, by the way. I make FAR better cupcakes, and those from S'Nice were better by ten million miles):
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff263/bryzee1986/102_3266.jpg

Candle 79 (apologies for bad quality - it was all "mood-lit" and everything. Brilliant place):

The drinks: Passionfruit Spritzer (l), and Raspberry Lemonade (r)
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff263/bryzee1986/102_3298.jpg

The entrees: Seitan Piccatta (mine);

and Spring Harvest Paella (Jo's), with optional smiling Birthday Jo:

The desserts: Chocolate Brownie sundae (it had a birthday candle in and everything :D)
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff263/bryzee1986/102_3302.jpg

and Chocolate-peanut butter bliss (it really was bliss as well):
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff263/bryzee1986/102_3301.jpg

lunch at Red Bamboo (which we did twice) that consisted of BBQ chicken wings, sweet potato-broccolli tempura for starters, and then philly cheese-steak sandwich for Jo and Chicken parm hero for me. My my their portions were huge. It being America, we got doggy bags :D.

Now onto S'Nice. We had a large orange juice each (which was like a pint!) and a S'Nice Cream cookie sandwich each (can anybody spell "Sugar Overload?!"). It was heaven sandwiched between ecstacy. Oh yeah, and the cupcakes which we took back to the apartment:

And that's all I'm afraid. I really should have taken more, considering the amount of cakes etc I actually ate...

Tonight's soup:

3 organic potatoes, 2 organic carrots, 4 mini organic leeks, 1 organic onion, handful of spinach, stock cube, ground back pepper. Blend it all up and serve with warm ciabatta.

Bryzee & Joeybee - If I ever go to America I will come back so fat it won't be funny. Sometimes I'm glad we don't have that much variety here because I don't think I would be able to control myself....although right now I feel sick so no food for me!

Est - I made something like that the other day....yours looks less like babyfood than mine though hehe :D

Interesting, cos I blended mine on high speed after cooking - I left all the water in from cooking the veg though cos I was worried about losing nutrients, so it was less "gloopy" than normal. That may have helped the texture!! :D

I'm really getting into the homemade soup thing! I've been chucking in loads of different veg combinations and getting such tasty results. I used to hate soup!
