British breakfast this morning, with canteloupe. I even watched Jamie Oliver and read Harry Potter beforehand, totally not on purpose.

Go Jambox and your Britishness :p

Really scrummy food on here this morning. I'm really hungry just looking at my screen. Sometimes I wish my screen was like in Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory, where you can lick it and taste it. (Ofcourse they had wallpaper but remake that today and it would be a computer screen ;))

cheating because we haven't eaten this yet - it's my son's birthday cake for tomorrow with his favourite blue icing and VIVA! giant chocholate buttons (it's a chocolate cake with choc chips in it, too).

Sluggie, I really like your plates - and your food looks yummy too. Is that a stir fry?

Pavot - you've been working hard in the kitchen too!

Yes, it's a veggie and black bean stir fry doused in sauce made from harissa, tomato puree and a little water.

Wow more fab food pics:)

Roxy afraid i cant think of the name of that lettuce?

Decided today was a home cooking day:

Butternut squash and red lentil soup (just the thing after a nice walk in the cold with Jed)
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b323/alit32/DSC00402.jpg

Did 2 cottage pies for tea 1 with veggie mince for mum and mine with red lentils (as veggie mince doesnt suit me) bit of a rush so not the best presentation skills!

the first day's good from babycakes (massive disappointment, by the way. I make FAR better cupcakes, and those from S'Nice were better by ten million miles)
I did warn you! You should have got just one to try first. I hope you tried their cookiewich and other things I recommended though!

I'm very disappointed there aren't more food pics but glad you enjoyed Red Bamboo and Candle 79. Have you put a review of all the places you went in the New York thread? I'll have to take a look.

This pic has made me crave a glass of red wine - I think I'm going to have one.

This thread makes me really wish I cooked. Such lovely looking food.
