feast your peepers on this
we made masala dosai tonight..was just totally yummy..the bottle is empty in the pic,i drank up..i've been craving pear cider all week..possibly hence skew whiff piccy :bigsmile:

you're absolutely right cedar..i had some in the fridge my mum made, but when it came to it, it didn't taste right alongside it. :p

for anyone interested..the pancake mix (lentilly flourness) is available in asda..is it?? the *gits* stuff we were chattering about on the bento thread. (make sure your pan is cold!!)

leftover mashed spuds from sunday night..

heat oil in a flattish pan (i used a wok cos i dont have a flattish pan)..fry off cumin seeds, garam masala, and chat masala for 20 seconds or so..add finely hacked red onion (you're supposed to use green chilli and something else green??) and sautee that for a bit..add in your cold mashed leftover spuds and smatter them down till it's all heated through.

do your pancakes and when theyre both cooked through on both sides, smear in hefty wodges of spicy spud and foldover smashing it down till you think it's ready :D

Jambox, I'm still searching for the perfect pancakes recipe too, I got one off the PPK recipe section I want to try out.

Tonight's dessert: PIE! I wrote "PIE" on it in pastry, but from this angle it looks like "Pit". Ah well. Filling was Apple and Blackberry.

White bread roll containing pure spread, cherry tomatoes, pickled gherkin, grated carrot, spinach, rocket, watercress, cress (home grown!), poloni, sage & onion slice, cucumber.

It all looks so good except JBR I thought that was a picture of liver (the cabbage) at first!:eek: Those pancakes look absolutely gorgeous.:)
