ooooh this looks great... actually I might do this for the wedding cake I have to make end of the month... we had planned on only doing cupcakes so everybody can pick them to their dietary needs (we have omnis, vegans and some people with severe allergies), but a big one wouldn't hurt.

Lovely wedding cake, so nice they made a mini one suitable for you as well!
Jambox that BananaCoffee cake looks delish, will have to try making that.
Where did this thread disappear to? I looked and looked.
I pm'd the mods and one replied saying "the thread was temporarily moved over to the area for paid subscribers, and will be moved back June 1st" not sure why. I've replied asking if this will happen every month and how do you become a member.
Oohh ... that has really got my belly rumbling! Please post the recipe, I've got to make some!
I'll tell you what I marinated the tofu with when I get home and find what I wrote down!

I am going to start cooking/baking again so I can post on this thread.
Although my baking isn't fancy as I have none of these fancy decorating things and frankly...I just can't be arsed!! I want to eat it now not in 5 years.

And later I made gingerbread shaped like tenpins and cupcakes for a friend's 25th bowling party

The gingerbread got a bit jumbled during the car trip so the red icing got on some of the white and one cupcake is missing because as I set it all up a friend came and stole one :)

looks yummy!
how did it turn out?
have u made anything else from that book?
i'm afraid of it cuz it barely has any measurements!
Poison Ivy

Its absolutely yummy, needed a bit longer than the cooking time given in the book (about an extra 20 minutes at a lower heat) to get the middle to cook.
The lack of measurements is a bit weird but it can literally be thrown together in less than 5 minutes which is gooood!!:)
I haven't made anything else from it....yet!:)

Tonight I made Choc-Orange Muffins from this recipe: http://www.veganfamily.co.uk/doublechoc.htm they were delicious but my bf thought they were a bit thick so perhaps I needed to add more rice milk at the end. I also made them w/ rice flour so they are g-free

And last night I made the banana bread from the PPK recipe section, also using rice flour. Made it in a round cake tin as I realised I have no loaf tin!

After tasting the fishless fish and chips at Bristol Vegan Fayre I thought I had to try and recreate what I guess was the recipe. For a first attempt it was pretty good; it still needs some work on it though.
Here's the 'fish'
