Here's the first of the potatoes from my garden ... Charlottes .... they were sooooo good! All the other stuff is out of the garden too. I love the summer .... loads of fresh, live, raw food.

I envy those with a proper garden! All I have is a tiny patch of shrubs (tho quite big for the city centre).
what did you do to the potatoes?

French dressing with wholegrain mustard.
Pavotrouge ... you can do lots of veggies in containers..... in fact, those very tatties were grown in a container .... that's why they're ready so early.

Hahaha-what a small world! Id love to rescue some cows too. But unfortunately it will probably be a LONG way down the track.:o But I am hoping that when we buy our first home(in the not to distant future) that if the yard is big enough Id like to rescue some battery hens. I suppose I will just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed for us both!:p

Too late for summer potatoes, but get an early variety (Charlottes would be perfect) .... and chit them ... them in July plant them in a container (as big as you have space for, tyres or a bin even) .... then keep earthing them up, protect them from frost and then you'll have your own potatoes for your Christmas lunch.

Aradia, those potatoes and fresh veggies look delicious! That is awesome that they are from your garden as well! I hope you got the PM and recipe I sent
Sesame-coconut crusted tofu, broccoli, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, onion, quinoa, and coconut-ginger sauce

This picture may not look super appetizing, but it was really good. I used the recipe for Cauliflower Dal with Panch Phoran from Fat Free Vegan (http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2008/01/cauliflower-dal-with-panch-phoran.html), but added peas, cashews and brown basmati rice

chick pea ratatouie (a word i can never spell:o)with salad and fries:
http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b323/alit32/DSC00522.jpg
Yesterday I went to a museum with students and was so happy to find plenty of vegan choices on the menu I had pitta bread with hummous mixed leaf salad, caramalised onions and spicy chick peas with aubergine - so fresh and tasty pic does not do it justice!
