Mmmm everything looks so yummy.. I want some falafel now. Ooo and I didn't realise that Millions were vegan. I used to love those. *nostalgic memories of discreetly flicking millions at teachers' heads*

EmmaP, your cake and falafel wrap look awesome. I've had falafel on my mind.

Not a very good photo but this was todays lunch. White bread pizza topped with home made pizza sauce (Tomato puree, passatta, oregano) grated mature cheddar sheese, sliced tomato, red pepper, pinapple and a few capers on half of them.

your bready pizzas look good risker..they made me chortle a bit cos in thsoe crappy women's mags we have kicking about at work i sometimes read on my lunchbreak, there are those letters for tip of the week kinda thing..and someone had written in (genuinly) giving it that a slice of white bread, a smear of heinz ketchup and a cheese slice is the perfect cheap cheese pizza. mentalists..ain't they not heard of oregaaaarnoh!!

Ohhh, I used to love hush puppies and haven't had them in ages. I'm looking forward to trying that recipe!
Last night, I ended up combining a couple of my favorite dishes (greek quinoa salad and lasagna) and came up with this layered dish:
Greek quinoa with basil-garlic tofu ricotta
Layers from bottom to top
-Roasted zucchini
-Basil-garlic tofu ricotta with tahini and lemon
-Zesty quinoa with spinach, kalamata olives, cilantro, lemon, red onion, parsley, vinegar, garlic
-Tomato slices with toasted pine nuts and basil nut “cheese” (toasted walnuts ground with nutritional yeast and basil)

Experimenting with various flavor combinations = Mountain of Muffins :) which include double corn muffins with toasted quinoa, sesame tahini lemon ginger muffins, chai tea muffins, peanut butter chocolate chip banana muffins

agreed by meas well..the layered quinoa thing looks amazing! though you said hush puppies...did you mean hush puppies? aren't they shoes? or slush puppies? i'm so confused
these are those lemony buttery cut out cookies from vegan with a vengeance. in teh recipe it said bake for 6 to 8minutes after chilling for 2 hours. well i chilled for 12 hours and the ball of dough was mush and ihad to bake for half an hour before turning them over and baking for another 10 minutes. i have no idea what went wrong!?
they taste good though

and then made into a snazzy lemony cookie raspberry and nutmeg shortcake cookie tower and that was reeeeally good!

i made some seitan last night..which is marinading for later..will post a pic of that when it's all done

Aww thanks, you are very sweet (and no that does not sound patronising). I am very passionate about cooking vegan food :). By the way Aradia, what kind of cake is that? Yum!
It was two layers of chocolate cake (made with melted chocolate) and two layers of white chocolate ... sandwiched together and topped with a chocolate fudge icing.
When are you going to put a booklet together of your recipies????! That quinoa thingy looks amazing| I'm always hungry after looking at your food!

Thanks! Well, I recently started a notebook that I've been jotting down recipes and recipe ideas in. I've been in a creative mood lately and have had time to experiment. Tis fun. But since I've been experimenting a lot of the times I'm kind of inventing/adjusting the dish as a go along so I don't have a lot of exact recipes per say right now.

Sinarei, that quinoa dish looks delish!
EmmaP, when I was making gingerbread I misread the part that said, if you chill your dough for over an hour leave the dough out to rest for 10-15 mins. My cookies would be soft and mushy and have a cracked appearance. When I leave the dough out on the bench to rest the gingerbread turns out perfectly ;)
Pancakes from last weekend, using the PPK Buckwheat recipe, they were pretty good but I made some even more awesome pancakes yesterday, I will have to upload a pic of them

Well I thought I'd try cooking from a recipe for once
and I tried this recipe:
http://www.veganforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7496
minus the tofu and the chickpea flour lol the result was:
http://s15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/philosophyfox/?action=view¤t=100_3098.jpg
It cracked a little so when I folded it over it sort of didn't look as pretty as I'd hoped. The worst part was underneath lol
