Wow, I didn't realise real people did that, it's morally wrong I tell you. - "Row over shepherd's pie ends in court" (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1896225/Row-over-shepherd's-pie-ends-in-court.html)

I know I probably shouldn't laugh but I did....a lot. The judges comments at the end tickled me as well.:D

PS - Alison, the shepherds pie looks yummy, I like it made with puy lentils too!:)

I used silken tofu instead of firm tofu and I put turmeric in it to make it more yellow. That new potato salad looks yummy Cedar.:)

All that looks good, Cedar. Now I want potatoes.

I made a lot of food last weekend.

Pesto Pizza - crust, pesto and tofu ricotta from VWAV.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-20-08pizza2.jpg

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-20-08pizza3.jpg

"Monkey Rolls" - banana-chocolate-walnut cinnamon rolls. I used the pumpkin cinnamon roll recipe from Don't Eat Off the Sidewalk zine, subbed banana for pumpkin, added chocolate chips and chopped toasted walnuts to the filling, and subbed canola oil for margarine.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-21-08monkeyrolls2.jpg

Vanilla and chocolate icing put them over the top.

Homemade tortillas - recipe here (http://homesicktexan.blogspot.com/2007/03/and-end-to-my-quest-flour-tortillas.html).

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-21-08tortillas2.jpg

Which I used to try to make baked taquitos. Fillings were Yellow Rose Recipes Refried Black Beans and a sweet potato mash w/ lime juice, cilantro and minced chipotles. The tortillas weren't as pliable as I wanted, but I made do.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-21-08taquitos.jpg

I took the monkey rolls and taquitos to a friend's house for brunch. The taquitos were served with guacamole and homemade enchilada sauce (http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_10360,00.html).

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-21-08guacenchiladasauce.jpg

Here's my brunch plate. My friend made the delicious potatoes, with a bruschetta mix and mushrooms.

We had a bbq that evening, so I made VCON's Apricot BBQ Sauce.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-21-08apricotbbqsauce.jpg

Which I used to baste FatFree Vegan's Barbecued Seitan Ribz (http://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2007/05/barbecued-seitan-ribz.html).

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-21-08ribz.jpg

Squash pickles, recipe on my blog (http://veganhomemade.wordpress.com/2008/06/25/whirlwind-weekend/).

My bbq plate, with grilled asparagus.

Aphrodite - that tofu scramble looks delish, as does the rest of the food on your plate. I should try making tofu scramble.

Heat13 - no, I didn't make the tempeh burger, it's a pre-made brand called Nutri-Soy.

Cedar - now I want little 'tatoes !

Jambox - the pizza and Monkey Scrolls looks amazing!

aphro- i didn't think I liked silken tofu except in quiches and desserts, but bc of ur breakfast plate pic we tried it for a scramble yesterday and it was really good! I prefer it to the firm!

my meals would be so boring without this thread. :p

Ruby - I had never even tried silken tofu before but I much prefer the texture of it and I am sticking to it now.:)

(I tried to take a photo of one of my famous vegan double "cheese" burgers last night but the light in my house was too dark. I eat about 5 a week lately  so I will post one soon.:D)

I want a double cheeseburger! And poundcake, cookies, and cupcakes. All at once.

Wordpress is being a jerk, so I'll post these here first. I was sick for most of this week and this is what I ate.

Peanut butter toast.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-24-08peanutbuttertoast.jpg

Pumpkin oat bran w/ walnuts & cinnamon.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-25-08oatbran.jpg

Juice & fizzy water cocktails.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-25-08fuzzyjuicewithoj.jpg

Cookie Avalanche ice cream.

As I started to feel better I moved back towards normal food.

Burrito from Moe's.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-25-08moes.jpg

Vegan McRib.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-25-08McRib.jpg

Went out for a friend's birthday last night. Sweet potato fries.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-26-08thetopsweetpotatofries.jpg

Vegan caesar salad w/ blackened tofu. Gave me wicked garlic breath.

http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c241/jamboxrock/food/6-26-08thetopcaesarsalad.jpg

I brought what I'm calling Bananas Foster Cupsidedowncakes, recipe adapted from My Sweet Vegan. The frosting didn't exactly work but they taste amazing.

Trust me, you don't. I've had two of those four this evening and now I feel a bit sick:o:D

Hope you're feeling better now:)

The Pumpkin Oatbran looks delish...don't think I've ever had oatbran before *is intrigued!*

...and why, oh why can we not get cookie soy icecream over here?? (or even non-whey oreos so I could make my own:(

ps - the millions are in the mail!!:)

ahh cool. That stuff is well nice. I had the peanut butter chocolate one, the vanilla, the chocolate and the GF cookie dough ones while I was over there.

Can't wait 'til I move to America.

No way!!! Thanks! I'm excited. You should still think of something you want in return. Too bad I can't ship ice cream.

And don't tell me what I do not want to eat, cause it's Friday afternoon and I want a double cheeseburger. Just maybe not two of them...

Oh and oat bran is great. I don't really like oatmeal and a fellow blogger suggested oat bran. It's like a smooth porridge and cooks in the microwave in a few minutes.
