Oh, the asparagus looks amazing, jambox. So bright green and fresh. And I love how you call a large Hasselback potato a 'Hegdehog potato'. :lol:

Astrid, I'd never heard of a Hasselback potato, but now I have! Next time I'm definitely going to try to slice it more thinly to get the whole fanned look.

You don't know how big the cake was! That plate might be as big as a table for all you know.

What is succotash really? I get that it's a bean salad, but why is it called succotash? Sounds native American.

astrid, i've no idea - i copied the idea from jamboxrock!


and aphrodite, it's a packet mix i had in the cupboard which i bought from veganstore at last year's london vegan fest.
tbh, they were ok, quite nice, and i made a 'whats in the cupboard dinner' using the ribs, frozen & fresh for salad, frozen rings and ciabatta bread mix - but i wouldn't eat them more than maybe once a year even - bit processed for me.
