I'm interested in going for a holiday to Marrakech (Morocco) in November but am concerned that I may have a very limited diet while there.
Has anyone on here been there? I would be very grateful for any tips/advice.

I went years before I was vegan. I seem to remember it being the first time I had couscous (I wasn't impressed).

The upside is that the ferry to spain only takes an hour or so. If you get desperate you could always nip to safeway or m&s in gibraltar ;)

You can drink plenty of very sweet mint tea. Tajines are beautiful with apricots and nuts in but they are best if you make them yourself to insure there's no animal fat in there.

(I've also heard that it's easy to find from the Middle East in Morocco, which means that you could find hummus, falafel, tabouleh, baba ganoush and lots of other goodies there.)

Like Mr Flibble I went to Morocco before I was veggie, but I seem to remember there were a lot of stalls selling nuts, olives and things in the souks, so if all else fails perhaps you could supplement your diet with those. Remember to bargain for everything though
