I was browsing msn and came across this quiz. It says if you get above 5 you are more aware about your food choices than the average person. I got 8 and the two I got wrong are silly now I think about it. However when you see what the results are you will realise just how brainwashed the majority population is. At least msn got their facts right!

Your score is: 7 out of 10. If your score is higher than 5.93, you are smarter than the average participant!

I feel like a fraud though cause almost all of them were guesses lol

I got 8/10 but, shame on me, I thought fish had more omegas than flax seeds. Glad I was wrong. The other one I got wrong was the salt one. I thought it would be 3g, not 6, cos they're always droning on about how bad salt is for you :p

I got a 7.
I missed the salt question, the omega 3 question ( i thought fish) , and the food to increase blood flow (I put vanilla, but that was a guess too).

I got 8 out of 10. I must know more about healthy eating in theory than I realised.
(It might help if I actually applied this knowledge to my eating habits.:o)

I got 8/10. Also thought oranges had the most Vit C and that carbs should provide 80% of our nutritional needs! Obviously forgot about fruit and veg there... :o

I only got 6 out of 10.

The ones I got wrong: the tea question, I thought Oolong tea burns fat because I drink it all the time and my metabolism is pretty fast.

What really threw me was the percentage of carbs ... when I was a raw foodist, I ate according to the 80-10-10 plan (80 percent carbs, which is fruit, 10 percent fats and 10 percent protein) -- I had a ton of energy, but lost too much weight ... however some folks swear by that plan ... I BELIEVE in healthy carbs, big time!

EDIT: re: salt ... I'm not good at math, does anyone know how many milligrams make up a gram?

I got 6, but disagree with the amount of carb you should have in your diet - surely it should be more than 50% ?
Salt, turkey & oranges - sprouts may be naturally have more vit C but because of the way they are normally cooked & how easily Vit C is denatured, I still think oranges *would* provide more per 100g.

I'm ready to stand corrected by people in this forum but don't have much faith in this sort of quiz.

Well it's just a standard run of the mill omni quiz. As for the denaturing of vitamin C - I think it means total as fresh if you know what I mean?
