Chocolate coconut macaroon sweets

A very easy recipe.

Chocolate coconut macaroon sweets.

Melt a bar of Organica vegan milk chocolate (or whatever chocolate you prefer) and mix in enough desiccated coconut to form a firm mixture. Either put teaspoon sized dollops onto greaseproof paper on a plate or put same sized dollops into small sweet cases. Place in the fridge to set.

oh my, they sound deliciously naughty! a bit like those choco coconut macaroon sweets you get in the big jars in olde fashiond sweet shops

That's what I based them on :) I saw some a few days ago on a sweet stall and thought it couldn't be that hard to veganise them.

I made about 15 sweets and they'd gone within the hour - not all eaten by me I hasten to add!

Thanks....Gunna give these a try, shouldn't tho' as diabetic but what the hell. Just means a bit more exercise to burn of the sugar...:D:eek:

just made some chocolate coconut macaroons - yum used sainsburys belgian cooking chocolate and dessicated coconut and some icing sugar.

better than the ones I had back in the day...:D:thumbsup:
