Are you implying that the monkey only makes you a sandwich to get you to put out?

I ask of you, who amongst us isn't part simian?
Who amongst us hasn't had at least one simian placed hair?
Who amongst us isn't the monkey making sandwiches for friends?

I ask you, would you take that sandwich if you offered it to you?

What is a monkey to you, might be a brother to me. What is a father to you, might be a monkey to me? Why draw these arbitrary divisions if not to alienate us from who we are?

I ask you, again, would you take that sandwich if you offered it to you?
I ask you, again, would you take that sandwich if you offered it to you?

Simian brethern, and less simian brethern; Will you take this sandwich?

This is what we call "high maintenance" ...

It's easier dealing with soup bearing mutants believe me.

I was just joining in on the trolling which I -suspect- is the whole basis of this thread ...

i see what you mean
like... since an animal can not give you his or her permission to have the milk or eggs or meat and bones, we should all assume that she doesn't want us to have it.
so many people take it for granted that an animal cannot speak.

Getting back to the point a bit, I just wanted to comment on this statement. I don't think that it's necessarily that we assume the animal didn't want us to have it, it's just that the animal did not produce it for us to have. (For some reason this was important to me, hopefully it is for someone else too!).. BTW this thread is great, and so is Steve the Vegan

I think the forum guidelines say something about it ... you'd be better off asking CORN ...

Maybe you're not ... but the title at first glance appeared to be a throwback to the "bad percival! no!" vegan fly trap thread ...

It's been a while since you first asked this question but...
1) a monkey will never make you a sandwich so the question is just lame and argumentative.

2) Go Vegan cold tofu. Just cut the crap and in three weeks or so you will loose the taste for cheese and other dairy products. If you are only giving up milk and eggs, then you are not letting you body/taste buds get used to not having them. You will still crave other dairy products. The body is amazing and I read (in "Breaking the Food Seduction") that your taste buds change very 30 days (or so).

I suggest three very great books;
"Vegan Freak"
"Breaking the Food Seduction"
"Becoming Vegan"

Good Luck!

Wait! Stop! Don't eat that sandwich, it's a trick! Now I remember where I recognize that monkey (http://jimintonic.com/archives/fg.evil.monkey.jpg) from.

Maybe he's just kindly pointing out the sandwich while severely constipated .. ?

I hope he washed his hands ...

What if the monkey voluntarily made it with her own MONKEY EGGS?

love, lee I was in the same situation as you!
I gave up meat at about 5 and I'm now 15.
I went vegan 7 months ago.
And I found it easiest to just go cold turkey BUT I made sure I had hundreds of recipes and enough vegan food to eat beforehand.
I found it fairly easy and I didn't get too many cravings.
It's probably different for every person, so you could try either way.

Good luck!!

I wouldn't mind eating a sandwich made by a monkey (if it was clean), but I would oppose both training a monkey to make sandwiches and any commercial use of monkeys.

I would agree with that statement

I would agree with that statement

Yes, exactly............the monkey would have to make the sandwich because he/she wanted to, not because he/she was 'trained' to do it! :)
