Found a shop selling Primal Strips Meatless Jerky. We tried the Texas BBQ (http://www.primalspiritfoods.com/Strips-Texas-BBQ.html) and Teriyaki (http://www.primalspiritfoods.com/Strips-Teriyaki.html)flavours. One was made from soy, the other from seitan, and they were both really tasty and chewy :)

They'll be on sale at the Bristol Vegan Fayre, too, Pob. So I'll be looking forward to trying them.

I packet of Gnocci (about three cups) I packet of mixed vegetables: peas, carrots, corn and green beans.
I cooked them together and added margarine, sour cream, black pepper and garlic salt. It was the bomb.
Yesterday I had grated carrots, garbanzo beans, dried parsley, raisins, coarse ground sunflower seeds and lettuce, wrapped up in a whole wheat tortilla with Pomegranite Orange Dressing! OMG It was worth the threat of a migraine(oranges).

I really like those primal strips. There's a satay flavoured one that I tried that I really liked.

I made a lovely coleslaw (grated carrot with chopped white cabbage and onion) with a houmous and lemon juice dressing. This is my latest obsession and I've decided I'll have it every day - though the resulting onion breath is probably not so good!

I had a white tortilla (bleh, left mine at work) toasted on the eye of the stove, with cold fat free refried beans, grated carrots, MUSTARD and sour cream. Also the bomb. It weird because I hardly ever ate sour dairy cream.

No, I am only up in Nanaimo for a memorial service for my grandfather :(

I would love to move here but still thinking about it. I took some pictures of Nanaimo and Protection Island (in Nanaimo Harbour) and posted them on my blog. http://kylesveganblog.blogspot.com/2008/05/spicy-cilantro-split-pea-soup-mashed.html

I got the "burger" from the Dinghy Dock Pub on Protection Island in Nanaimo. Apparently it's the only floating pub on the west coast.

Wish I could get over and buy some of your fair trade produce...maybe next time.

The best cake ever ever ever made!

I am sorry to say that now I have to love you. I am way too lazy to cook so properly so that was the coolest thing ever.

Spoon out, stir, plonk, push, laa, bleep. Yum!

My attempt at adjusting the proportions might need more work as it made a wee bit of mess, but I still ended up with a hot pudding with chocolate sauce.

Now I am wondering - what if instead of cocoa powder I add lemon juice. Or sultanas...

Michael.

I've tried it with a few other flavours but not lemon, the problem with them is that the flavour doesn't seep into the sauce quite as well as the cocolate does, but deffo experiment and let me know of the results! as for it making a mess, i find that if the batter comes about a third of the way up the cup then it *shouldn't* overflow.
