I'm making one of Cherry's cakes for my son's birthday on Sunday - can anyone tell where to buy malt in the UK and 'scuse terrible ignorance....what is it?:o

My mum used to make us have a spoon of malt and a spoon of honey every day as a sort of supplement. It is sticky and sweet, quite nice tasting (consistency similar to treacle).

I'm sure you can get jars of it in health food shops like H&B.

Great, I'll try the health food shop tomorrow.

Ignore all of the above, I'm an idiot - I'm confusing the recipe with another one I was looking at:o Senile moment!

I'm still making the fudge cake though and I still need the malt for the menopause cake I'm making (for someone else).
