Petition: Make UK oreos vegan

Anyway, there's a difference 'cos they're made by different people - the name is used in Europe under license.

i had to laugh at this - it would be lovely to have vegan oreos but it's a bit melodramatic to say it's really 'important' isn't it? :D

Dylan, you actually do have an important point- why bother to put animal products into something when theres an available recipe already in use that doesnt use animals. People believing they need meat is bad enough, but this is like well 'we'll include a bit of animal suffering for the sheer hell of it'

When I discovered Oreos were vegan in Australia, I cried tears of joy.

I may be wrong here, but I think that 'normal' Skittles are OK but the Sour ones do indeed have shellac.

*edit* as luck would have it I've just found a packet of Crazy Sours in the cupboard and there is no mention of shellac, I guess it has been replaced with carnuba wax.

Then again the ingredients list does read like a chemistry set.
