Any vegan/vege divers out there tired of carnie dive clubs and just want to dive without worrying about people lifting lobsters, crabs etc.? Not to mention the prevalence of bacon sarnies and related conversations.

do you mean lifting as in taking up with them? or just picking them up to look at kind of thing?

I scuba dive. This has never been an issue for me. I just love that inner peace I can obtain being surrounded by water. I do understand your frustration but I also sense some anger in your comment. If I notice someone hording things left and right I'll say something. I always keep it light hearted and friendly like, "if you take so many souvenirs there wont be anything to dive for!" I'm always sure to say this with a smile and sometimes I'll even end up educating them on my beliefs. I dunno, I'm a pretty positive person. To each his own, voice your opinion, don't resent their ignorance. Make them aware of the impact they have on our Eco-system. you'd be surprised how many people take things into consideration!! :)

I've never dived before but i'd love to do it! It'd be such an amazing feeling being underwater with all those cool creatures, or even without any around. And i totally understand your frustrations with people who eat meat just seeing lobsters and crabs etc as "things" instead of awesome little creatures that can do things we can't.

If you start a vegan dive club let me know! I'm in!
