Just been on the website and looks awesome! Don't know if can make it yet but definitely gonna try. Looks like more than just your average fayre with the music and everything too.

Has anyone been to the Bristol Fayre? That's a bit closer to home for me

Update:

''Vegan celebs flock to Brighton ’s biggest Vegan festival ever!

Organisers of Brighton’s first ever Vegan Fayre on March 21st are thrilled to announce the first headline acts for what promises to be a superb family day out with entertainment on every level.

Macka B Plays Brighton

Fresh from his headline appearance at the Internationally renowned St Paul’s Carnival in Bristol last summer, reggae artist Macka B showcases his new vegan friendly single ‘Wha Me Eat’ during two performances at Brighton, including a short appearance in the Campaigns Room as well as a full acoustic set on the Main Stage. Truly a vegan champion as well as a master songwriter, Macka B and his band will bring a touch of magic and sunshine vibes to the whole occasion and we are truly blessed by his appearance! Greetings, Macka B, true reggae legend in da house!

The Clive Palmer Band plays Brighton !!

The Clive Palmer Band – including legendary co - founder member of The Incredible String Band Mr Clive Palmer – is set to play the Brighton Vegan Fayre!

The Incredible String Band were one of the most creative and influential original 60’s bands, and even played Woodstock! And now Clive Palmer, the Co – founder of this cult status outfit, is back on the road with his own band, and ready to play at the Brighton Vegan Fayre this year.

Robb Johnson confirms for Brighton

Robb is a singer songwriter with a deep interest in the vegan lifestyle and has kindly agreed to play at the first ever Brighton Vegan Fayre March 21st, with 3 short sets in the Campaigns Room, Kids Area & The Main Stage. Rob is Brighton based (well, Hove actually) and is guaranteed to draw a large crowd! In his own words….

‘I've played the London Vegan Festival (this year they kindly said i was the - ahem - headliner) & released an album with Ethical Wares called "MaximumRespect" (Irr047) entirely focussed on animal rights / vegan issues...I've been vegan for 19 years...and I have a new album out too…..

Aharrrgh!

This vegan festival thing is spreading like a rash faster than on a sweaty frigate full of dirty shipmates anchored just off a small island in the tropic of dermatology.

And that be just the tip of the iceberg - google Brighton Vegan Festival yourself and see what I mean.

And that's be just the begining - there be The Bristol Vegan Fayre a few months later! They had over 12,000 landlubbers last year!

How many this year?

It really is isn't it? Fair play. I'm well up for it, and have heard of most of the celebs they're talking bout too. It's a musicthing. My dad was well into Clive Palmer, they're cool although nothing can touch Pink Floyd. Any chance do you reckon?

Stu
Jan 13th, 2009, 06:44 PM
Are you serious?

choptveg
Jan 13th, 2009, 08:46 PM
Don't tell me you don't like the floyd?

Stu
Jan 13th, 2009, 11:10 PM
I absolutely love the Floyd, but they will not be playing at a little vegan fayre, that's for sure.

Ha Ha, yeah I was joking. I saw Macka B in Bristol in the summer though and he had a pretty big crowd. Brighton Centre's a big ol venue too
