Made this the other night, well tasty!!!!:thumbsup:
Serves 4-6

Soak, 1/4 cup of dried green split peas, 1/2 cup red lentils, 1/4 cup broth mix for a couple of hours in same amount of water that's been boiled.
Chop an oinion, as much garlic as you want, 150g chopped mushrooms, lightly fry.
Make up 2 1/2 pints of veg stock.
Add 150g chopped fresh spinach to the onions etc.
Pour in stock, 2 large Bay leaves, 1/4 cup of plain pasata, soaked pulses, table spoon of Lemon juice, salt, pepper and parsley.
Simmer for 40 mins to an hour!

You could use both green AND yellow split peas if yer feeling adventurous!:D

wow...that sounds good. the only protein i can get here is pulses (and nuts...but the hips don't like 'em so much), and i have found split peas loose in the supermarket. i think i might make this at the weekend...sounds good as!

i need to start cooking 'real' food...i've been really bad about just eating random-things-on-bread and i'm starting to feel sluggish...

This sounds delicious and right up my alley, however, I'm having a bit of trouble understanding what it means to mix for a couple hours in same amout of water thats been boiled.
