Montezumas Big Vegan Truffle!

My boyf. got me one of these on Valentines:

Ingredients: Coating (dark shavings & freeze dried cherry), Shell (dark chocolate), Ganache (dark chocolate, fondant, coconut oil, champagne, champagne concentrate, wheat syrup, soya lecithin). Dark Chocolate (cocoa solids 60%) Non Organic.

VERY nice. Not overly sweet like some of their other truffles. Lasted all of about 5 seconds, with the rest of the Montezumas stuff I got!

How come it took you so long to eat? :D Sounds like a fine present, I had some regular-sized Montezuma truffles that went down nicely a while back.

Haha, yeah I did feel like a total glutton gnawing on it!

I suppose 4 quid is pretty dear. Another quid and that's a box of Booja Booja truffles!

Yes, I must admit Montezuma's Revenge was my first thought on coming across Montezuma's, but if you eat enough of the chocolate it seems to break the association :D

Well my o/h went into the London branch near his workplace yesterday but didn't buy me one because the stooopid bloke behind the counter convinced him that it wasn't vegan.:mad:

Well he showed him the milk and the plain valentine truffles and when asked he told him neither were vegan.
eta And apparently it is the shop assistant my o/h always sees in there so it's not like he was a part time weekend person - should know better.

maybe he was just trying to be on the safe side if he wasn't sure, but it sounds like he should know the facts about their chocolates! i find the staff in the Brighton branch rarely know about the 10% Viva! discount they're supposed to give to members.
