Since becoming a vegan, I have discovered the wonderful world of yummy dressings to put on my salads that don't include dairy. However, there is one particular salad I make that just isn't the same without good old ranch. Does anybody have a vegan ranch recipe that is at least somewhat similar in taste to the dairy-laden, high sodium Hidden Valleys ranch?

nothing is simliar to that....I made a kick butt cashew ranch, you blend cashews with water add onion, dill, and garlic...thats pretty yummy. Also try Goddess dressings, they are a creamy vegan dressing, not quite ranch but yummy all the same. As for dipping ranch I like to mix my Veganaise (which is a vegan mayonaise) with garlic and dill....yummy!!!

Aw, darnit. You put my recipe first, haha.

If you're gonna use the recipe from Recipezaar Risker put, it's a good one. I suggest you add in the soy milk gradually, because when I first made it it was like thick water. The taste is really good though.

I also just found this from googling: http://vegandad.blogspot.com/2007/09/ranch-dip.html

in case you want multiples. I suggest the one Risker put, but I'm biased 'cause that's the recipe I use.
