...
couple pieces of baklava
teas (lavender, black)
Mmm, baklava! I wish I could find vegan versions round here, but at the same time it's probably a very good thing that I can't!
What is lavender tea? Is it made with dried lavender or is the lavender a flavouring?
Today I had:
B: Toasted end of baguette with Pure olive spread
L: South Indian buffet - poppadoms, chutney, salad, masala dosa, chickpea curry, spinach and potato curry, cashew rice, and a semolina pudding with pineapple to finish!
After work: Alpro custard pot and vegan pregnancy multivitamin.
D: Leftover lentil "shepherds pie", leftover salad with a really rather awesome dressing I made up glopped over the top - half a mashed very ripe avocado, a splash of hemp oil and white wine vinegar, a good dollop of plain live soya yoghurt, salt and pepper and a teaspoon of mustard - really creamy and gooey and yum! :)

I never had baklava as a non-vegan so I don't know how this compares but it is GOOD! There is a new bakery (non-vegan) but she always makes at least one vegan thing and the baklava is a staple. Plus we've been taste-testing for her for a while now, so get to sample all sorts of vegan goodies.
Yes, it's just the dried lavender. I buy a box of the tea bags in the health food store.
It brews up to a pretty pale purple. It's good combined with chamomile too.
