Yeah, we just bought the Berbere from a market. I def agree, it's better leftover.
They were nice (didn't look as nice as yours though), I didn't have all the spices for the berbere so I just used what I had. I made it last night to have tonight and tomorrow and I think it tasted nicer cold than warm (might try making some to put in wraps etc). I will make it again but I think I will make Cholent from Veganomicon next.Yeah, we just bought the Berbere from a market. I def agree, it's better leftover.

Onion & TVP pudding (bit like a hollands pudding)

I had no idea what that was, had to look it up - is it like a steamed pie? I sometimes think it'd be nice to make a steamed sponge but I never had savoury ones. Your dinner sounds good.

Yeah, the Hollands puddings are made with a weird pastry (full of lard and stuff) and steamed. A couple of months ago I tried using knish pastry instead as its lower in fat (its also my fall back pastry for pies/quiches), I used a thick layer, covered with tin foil and baked for 20mins - tasted almost the same as hollands - warm, doughy and soft! This one was a bit overcooked, its could have done with a few minutes less, here's a couple of pics:
In its tin:

How long does that have to last you? I did a "hundred pound challenge" where I had to make that amount last a month for food, travel, clothes and entertainment (basically anything that wasn't a bill going out on direct debit). I came up with some quite interesting meals based on what had been languishing in my cupboard and freezer for months.

So far, Vegan choccie milkshake (never claimed to be healthy! :p).
A friend is sleeping over later, and she's Veggie not Vegan so, and as it's two-teenagers-getting-together it's almost a requirement to be unhealthy... So I guess I'll be having chips and/or salad when we order (she'll likely order chips and pizza or whatever). :)
