Prepare yourself for a rather sad story:
"We're making a more affordable item for more people to enjoy'' (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/broward/hollywood/sfl-gator-goods-bn081309,0,7363288.story)

All American Gator, already the largest processor of American alligators in South Florida. The company handles about 2,800 wild alligators each year.

The depths to which some human sink.

"Processor" for goodness' sake. Here comes Godwin's law again...

No different than all the other industries involved in animal exploitation, the key of course is objectification, objectification, objectification.

I suppose the fact that alligators aren't cute and cuddly helps too!
