After 70 years of recipes all beginning with...

1 tin of chicken stock
6 oz of lightly salted butter
4 egg yolks

....and various body parts and excretions,

Gourmet Magazine will cease to be.

I'd like to think we had something to do with that. ;)

Can't say I'll miss it, espeically as I've never seen it AFAICR - is it an American one?

Yes, Conde Naste publication but I have seen it on news stands around the world. Definitely in the same class category as Architectural Digest (with its polar bear rugs and silk curtains)

I've never seen it either but I'm glad it's closing. It's sounds hideous! :(

Modern Bride is also going bye-bye along with all the silk dresses, silk shoes, dead animal food recipes, etc.
