That's appalling. We went on an anti fur march a few weeks ago and targeted the big designers but looks like the high street is just as bad.

Just looked at the link though and it says the upper is made of other does that not include the fur?

I dread to think what poor creature this comes from, as China has always seemed not exactly picky about what animals to skin.

The phone number does not allow you to hold when all the staff are busy.

Someone I was speaking to from our veggie group is really invloved in the fight against the fur trade and told us that even the fake fur isn't always fake.

This is awful I cannot believe that a store like BHS would use fur.

Blah. I guess some people think if people will wear leather what is the difference with fur.

How did you find out it was REAL? Does it say?

According to the person I spoke to on the phone these boots are made from 100% synthetic materials. She also said BHS don't sell any fur items at all, apparently this is a question they are asked often. I tried the number twice and spent nearly half an hour in total trying to get through, so I'm sending you the bill ClawsyWP ;) :D

It would help if they put 'faux fur' instead of just fur in their description on the website.

That makes two of us :D. I spent about 20 mins listening to silly music :dizzy:
And got the same answer . I was 99% sure it would not be real fur as BHS belong to the Arcadia Group which have the Fur Free Policy .
I also asked her if they check the faux fur to make sure it is not real and she said that she would have thought that the supplier would do that.
You can see what shops belong to the Fur Free Policy on the CAFT website.
