What delicious vegan food or exotic fruit have you found during your world travels?

I love the Cape Malay curry and African Stew in Capetown, the vegan lomo saltado in Peru, doubles chickpea roti in Trinidad, and the vegan feojada in Rio. The durian fruit juice in Asia is a favorite beverage of mine.

I actually write a vegan world travel advice blog.

I look forward to your Rio entry! The vegan food I've had on my travels has been great in some places but nothing exotic as that (nor especially local cuisine).

Have you been to Santorini in Greece, Maria? They have some great vegan dishes there as part of the local cuisine - think my favourites were tomato balls (substitute meatballs made with tiny local tomatoes which are very tasty) and fava (a bit like hummus but made with small lentils). Greece generally is pretty good for vegetable dishes although they sometimes don't want to give them to you :D

Amazing vegan brownies in a vegetarian restaurant called Greenways, in Ghent. Belgium is surprisingly vegan-friendly! :D
