I got in touch with a vegan tofu producer in the UK. I knew they delivered to shops but asked if they would deliver to private individuals. I spoke to a lovely man who said if you live on their route, he'll happily supply. Only thing is, it's in bulk so any familys could really benefit from this!
I ordered:
10 packs of tofu (retail 1.45, I paid 97p each)
8 x 2pk Mexican Chilli burgers (£1.75 per two pack, I paid £1.15)
Olive bread
Wholemeal loaf
Flour tortilas, plain and wholemeal
Seeded baguettes
Wholemeal flour 1.5kg
Plain flour 1.5kg
I loved it! And looking on their website today, I see they also deliver organic fruit and veg! So I think it's going to be a regular thing for me. They can only deliver to me Monday or Friday evening around 8.30 but I am ok with that!
Website says they deliver on A1/M1 corridor between London and Manchester junctions. Suits me! No delivery charge - yet!
And every item had the Vegan Society logo on it... Can't be bad!
