Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale 2010 in Australia

The Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale is on again and there are 9 bake sales happening around Australia: 2 in Sydney, 1 in Newcastle, 2 in Victoria, 2 in Brissy and 1 in S.A and W.A.

Excuse my ignorance but what is the bake sale all about?

Just checked the website... der.....

But what is it to raise funds for?

Each bake sale choose their charity, we're raising money for Edgar's Mission, a not-for-profit sanctuary for neglected farm animals this month, in the past we have raised money for WSPA, NSWAR, Donkey Rescue and Brightside Farm Sanctuary.

S.A is raising money for the Australian Marine Wildlife Research and Rescue Organisation.

Most people choose animal/vegan related charities but I know some in America chose different charities.

All of the Aussie bake sales are over, apart from 1. All up they raised almost $3500 for animal-related charities!
