Hey,

I'm not sure if most London vegans allready know about this place, I only discovered it a couple of weeks ago, and it's been there for quite a while I think...
it's a Little cafe/healthfood store selling indian vegetarian and some vegan curries, they have vegan sandwiches with veggie sausages, bacon, chicken type things and also a small range of cakes biscuity things which are vegan

I had a curry box which was 3.99 for brown rice with 2 curries of my choice, I had dhal and one which was some sort of vegan chicken korma which wasn't so convincing (I think they used those frozen chicken style pieces sold in holland and barret, not vegi deli ones..someother brand I can't recall), but was good value for money and super filling..
I also had a chocolatey-nutty fruity square thing (for 90 p)which was really nice...
I'm deffinitely going back to try some of their sandwiches...

It's all really quite good value and the family running it are really nice

It's on a st off tottenam court road right next too warren st station....

Well, I for one don't know about it! Thanks for mentioning it, cacatua. Do you think it was the HEALTH FOOD CENTRE 11, Warren Street, London W1T 5LG, listed here: http://www.veganlondon.co.uk/eat/index.htm

Must investigate, it does sound very good value. Are those takeaway prices that you quoted?

I went there once about 3 years ago and it was great value for a meal for the train home - had a veg sausage, mustard and salad sandwich - very tasty and packed full of filling! Also got a slab of vegan apple pie but that was a little bland (would of been miles nicer with ice cream on!)

Very friendly staff who knew exactly what was and was not vegan - sandwich was only about £1.50!
