Hi,

I'm looking to find a non-wool blanket for a double bed, and it seems impossible. All I can find are cot blankets or synthetic fleece.

I've found a few online, but it's hard to judge the thickness to I would rather go to a real shop.

Anyone else had the same trouble, and did you find something in the end.

What's wrong with synthetic fleece?

It's not fire retardant, which may be of concern especially if it's for a child's bed. And according to Wikipedia, synthetic fleece may damage from hot water washing and dryers and may pill.

I use quilts, they are lovely and warm - cotton each side with a synthetic fibre inside. It's dead easy to make your own.
