Manchester Vegan Festival Saturday 1st October 2011

Horse and Jockey, 9 The Green, Chorlton
Manchester, United Kingdom, M21 9HS

New festival that will hopefully be delivered on an annual basis, to promote a Vegan or Vegetarian lifestyle.

There will be a completely Vegan and Vegetarian Market outside the Horse and Jockey Pub. The rest of the Festival will be on the Green itself with arts and crafts, live acoustic music, information stalls from Greenpeace, Sea Shepherd, The Vegan Society, The Vegetarian Society. Additionally there will be guest speakers throughout the day in another marquee.

Mission/Aim: To deliver a cohesive and all inclusive event in the UK's 3rd largest city, for Vegans, Vegetarians and all who are interested in finding out more about those lifestyles.

I am SO there. Manchester is only a train ride away. Will I need to book tickets for it, or is it just a turn up on the door kind of thing?

If it's on a green I imagine it's a non-ticketed event open to everyone?

Like a village green (well, green space). Common land. Presumably grass-covered.
