Perhaps something that you would usually have at your family gatherings, but veganised?

Hi
Welcome to the forum:)

How about a trifle - could be made and transported in the same bowl, or a summer fruit pudding - this can be made in a bowl and then transported in it. These 2 look like nice recipes Summer1 (http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2370/simple-summer-pudding), Summer 2 (http://cloudberryquark.blogspot.com/2007/02/summer-pudding.html).:)

Yes, tell us what kind of things you'd normally take and we'll see if we can find you a great vegan version! Or what flavours you like in general?

Without any other ideas I'm going to suggest a fruit tart, or some muffins/cupcakes with seasonal fruit? What kind of cooling/transport options do you have? Will you be able to take things that need to stay chilled-ish?

Thank you all for replying. I prefer nothing to heat up or something that has to be kept on ice as it's my husbands side and we will be outside. I would feel weird to heat anything or keep anything in the fridge. Can you make lemon bars vegan? I can make vegan cupcakes and that would have been a first choice but their will be cake.. :o:o

Welcome :]
And just like Blueberries said. Make one of your family favorites but veganise it :] It may help them accept veanism too :]

Veganomicon has a lemon bar recipe. It's halfway down on this (http://www.nomeatathlete.com/vegan-lemon-bars/) page.
